<<Sig, any predictions what Michael will say tomorrow at the analyst meeting?>>
Something generally very positive. Pres Bush and Dell both successful businessmen and friends seemingly preordained to success.and leadership. Did Bush quail or rise to the occasion with solid goals to overwhelm the
threats? Does anyone think Michael has not been busy forging new paths or solving problems?

Will companies who lost 10k computers reorder from Dell, and will those other agencies who need many more computers soon to track terrorists and funds order from HP or Cpq with vast uncertainties (in the buyout) , higher costs, and greater lead times ?
The Dell/EMC deal should be big , considering the need for storage to monitor passports, purchases of armament, chemicals, etc, worldwide by terror groups and countries.
Even a transitory miss of analysts estimates ( Dell didn't provide one, so wording it as a Dell miss would be BS, the analysts would be the ones who missed) would IMO be attributed to the now- past economic problem
and be dismissed by the market which looks forward..

Sig
Sara Lee just hiked estimates, Dell sells to Sara Lee. The AF is busy, Dell sells to the AF. The Navy is busy , Dell sells to the Navy and military spending has been hiked. Boeing will be busy in Military divisions. Dell sells to BA.
