Delphi wins three contracts worth $180 million

DETROIT, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. (NYSE:DPH) said on Wednesday that its electronics and mobile communications unit has won three contracts with two Asian automakers worth $180 million.

Financial details of the individual contracts were not disclosed.

Delphi said a major Japanese automaker, which it declined to name, will offer for sale its Communiport Integrated Navigation radio system, which integrates navigation map capabilities with a DVD ROM player and an AM/FM radio, on vehicles in North America beginning next year.

A Korean automaker selected Delphi's premium sound system for some vehicles for the 2003 model year, the automotive supplier said.

Next year, Troy, Michigan-based Delphi will begin supplying telematics units, providing safety and security information and services, for four new Japanese vehicles.
