I see that you just chose to hear what you want to hear and not look to the values the underlie what is said. Before I run off at the mouth and condemn any person I try to look for why what they say is justified and not why it is somehow wrong.

The value in praying for ones enemy is a frame of mind that makes us open to looking for a way to put away our differences. God helps them who helps themselves. But there are those who have gone to the dark side. Prayer will effect some and maybe even many, but not all.

Any thought that prayer could have changed the heart of those sick minds is far more wishful thinking than the idea that weak minded PC tolerance roted the soul and attention of many good men and maybe lead to those responsible for defending America to be asleep at the switch.

Just a thought here. Falwell is thinking God is dealing with America Gomorah style. I think the Bible story to be rereading is the Tower of Babel.

Maybe God is distressed about our belief, our national doctrine, that we can build a just, prosperous country completely without God. Go do your little thing on Sunday morning, but don't be dragging it out the rest of the week.

Same as the sin of the tower builders of Babel. Like us, they believed there was NOTHING they, and they alone could accomplish. If there is a God, we are His equal.

God will not allow this arrogance to stand.

I think it is different from what Falwell said, who seemed to be saying we were being punished for allowing wickedness to occur,
