Nadine,

Hamas is no different than than Bin Laden's crew, they will accept nothing other than total victory.
Too bad for their people, but at least they can entertain themselves watching reruns of the Sept 11 attack on the WTC.

These were words that not even Arafat could say, for if he had he would have followed Sadat's end, and quickly too.

Precisely my take on it.

And if we understand that Arafat was acting, if not heroically, at least understandably in saving his own skin, then it seems there has to be another way.... either a better process or a Palestinian leader willing to be assassinated.
