Of course, I didn't mention anything about "Nuclear Winter", but why let that stop you? For what it is worth, "Desert Storm" was decidedly non-nuclear

Where are you getting your "trillions of dollars" figure?

Also before we even spend hundreds of billions we will have a much better idea about how well it will work, so a more accurate statement would be a complaint about how we will be spending dozens of billions on "something that we don't know if it will work".
