12:53 ET Cisco Systems (CSCO) 12.22 +0.74: -- Update -- Hearing the company is seeing "linear" orders through current quarter; saw a "moderate" disruption due to the September 11 attacks. Company comfortable with consensus estimates.

Well, then, comfort = rally! We know that drill. Sounds a lot like April/May.

And JRI. . . I have said how I got burned in April by refusing to believe the rally was real. I remember being short the SOXX right down to the low. . . then watching it bust a move like today's. I knew better than to cover, cuz there was no way it would do THAT again. Ooops.

It's among the lessons I keep trying to learn, but the biggest one is that when I lose my patience, I lose my money. Oh, and there'll always be another move up or down. My goal for the next few months is to SURVIVE to play them <g/ng?
