David , I would be more impressed if you had brought up the
contradiction of the caste system within Hinduism
as a critical flaw ...and the "untouchables".

please don;t insult my inteligence or yours
by bringing Hitler into this discussion of
the one great world religion ,that somehow
is never mentioned....

But Buddha , who was a Hindu , tried to correct that
institution of the caste system , so long ago.
The King Asoka was one of the most enlightened of
all the kings of ancient times...see H G Wells
a short history of the world .

He was a reformer too...and if you really want to know
where the miracle of walking on the water came from
it was from Buddhism and the miracles of Buddha...they were
stolen and added to the Bible from Buddhism .

500yrs before Jesus . As for Hitler or whatever point your
making , just point to a period in history where the Hindus
rose up and attempted world domination and terror?

India was old when Christianity was young . They invented
non-killing and some of the most precious theological
ideas of mankind. That's just who they are .

sorry , but please get your facts straight and study more...
before you break out the whips.

mars

PS: Does it ever dawn on you , that at the same time in human history , you have Aristotle in Greece , Buddha
in India , and LaoTzu in China all speaking with a similar voice and time in human history ?

just a coincidence ?

"A set of religious beliefs is either true or false. Can't be both."
It seems to me that we have basically 3 types of people in the world. Those that know, those that don't know (believers), and those that just don't care one way or the other. Your statement only applies to the middle group here. How does someone who doesn't know (believes) discern the truth or falseness of what someone else doesn't know (believes). I have never been able to figure that out.
