Hi Clint,

by dec and Jan... people will be feeling way too good. People are underestimating the demand and the lack of inventory in the supply chain. I still cannot believe that short interest for most stocks went up in Sept. Probably they are the same who bought last march shorting with confidence that the world is going to end now!

Good luck,

Suresh

Clint,

We now have two support levels below on the COMPX (1500 and 1515). Traders will be embolden by this. It is about time.

We have filled the gap on MSFT. If we stay about this level the rally should have staying power. I unloaded a bunch of MSFT this morning at $53.90 unfortunately, but given the change in their revenue model, the drag X-box will be on earnings and the anticipated slow adoption of XP I do not see a catalyst for a sustained rally except for a short pop due to settlement in the court case.

MRVL exploding on the CSCO news. Looking at LNOP as a lagard right now if we get follow through.

Storage is rallying like crazy too due to a short squeeze I gather.

The thing that indicate the rally might go more than a day is that most people on the SI thread are very cautious going into this rally. They just do not believe it will last more than a day. It is a strong volume day though.

Do you have an upside target on this rally. I have 1650, though not in one move. We need to consolidate a bit on the way up.

13:39 ET Nasdaq Composite : -- Technical -- Index has blown through resistance at 1528 on very strong volume and solid internals. Looks to have subsequent resistance around 1579 which was the September 17 low/close. That will be followed by modest overhead in the area of 1600/1605.

Never heard of these guys, but every little bit helps.

13:52 ET Networking Upgrades : Buckingham Research raises its rating mid-day on Cisco Systems (CSCO +20.3%), Juniper Networks (JNPR +29.1%), Ciena (CIEN +23.1%); all three go to ACCUMULATE from Neutral; firm believes Europe is stronger than expected in long haul and enterprise; Asia continues to be strong and the gray market is drying up.
