I just sent the following to SI's Jeff, so I may be joining indexit soon.

3Putt... If so, thanks for the memories...out

< Hello,
This has been discussed with indexit. We have very clear SPAM rules and content is not the
only factor in deciding what consitutes SPAM. It is a widely held industry standard that
cross posting to multiple threads is SPAM. The message may have been well intentioned but
the delivery of the message is a violation.

I have to hold the same standards for all people who post in this quantity.
Thank you for contacting our customer service group. Please let us know if there is
anything we can do to help you in the future.

Let me see if I understand this. From your message, a member must, in order to avoid a TOU violation, post well-intentioned messages in small quantities. Otherwise, they will be censured as spammers.

Given that criteria, the following are despicable spammers:

1. Thomas Paine (in his pamphlets that were distributed throughout the colonies, trumpeting the call of freedom)

2. Radio Free Europe (giving hope to millions of starving war-torn refugees yearning for a chance to express themselves freely)

3. grieving New York families who post pictures and pleas for information all over lower Manhattan seeking any word at all about their loved ones who died for freedom just as surely as did those at Pearl Harbor or on the beaches on D-Day

Please respond. I REALLY want to hear this.
