there is a simple solution to every complex problem... and it is always wrong.

I like that. Can I use it? ;-)

>> craig, many reasonable folks think the US should try to work with the other kids in the sandbox. is that being a traitor? <<

i never said the united states couldn't "try to work" with other countries. that is not the definition of independence, or nationalism, or isolationism if you prefer.

simply put, it's fine for america to work and ally with other countries as long as it doesn't involve surrendering our national sovereignty.

having to ask the UN permission to engage our military is an act of surrendering our sovereignty. putting american young men under the command of the UN is a surrendering of our sovereignty. allowing the UN to tell us if our prisons are humane is an act of surrendering our sovereignty. joining trade organizations where we are only one vote of many is surrendering our sovereignty. entering into treaties and agreements where we cannot act unilaterally rather than multi-laterally to protect the interests of our country is a surrendering of sovereignty.

to achieve the goals of globalists and "free" traders we must cede some sovereignty to a higher authority. it is black or white. our nation cannot retain full sovereignty and freedom of action and also participate in this global one world order. you just can't distribute the power to both entities.

i and every other patriotic american should put our national sovereignty above all else--or we will lose our republic one step at a time.
