re: Nas 2K?

These aren't precise numbers, they are rough ranges, nothing more. Yes, I doubt any move much over 2000 for the Nas is sustainable, there are so many people who remember the huge paper gains they used to have, or who have a cost basis far above today's prices, there is huge overhead resistance. The best possible scenario for the shortterm, is a return to the pre-9/11 Nas range of 1650-2200. All the other likely scenarios are worse. We need to form a base before going up (haven't even begun), and the market needs a good, solid reason to go up. It will, but not yet. Today is just a reflex rebound from the late-September selloff, IMO.
