George, i think there's a certain contingent of market participants that bought gold stocks as "insurance" without regard to the fundamentals of the sector. those are of course weak hands that would rather play profit-less tech wonders, so they dump their gold stocks on signs of a tech revival. they will be back however...buying the next intermediate term top in the gold sector. :) i've seen Swenlin's piece...he sure got it right with his last LT forecast.
