Re Rubin, I recall wondering at the time if Rubin went to Citigroup to save it . . . not that I had any specific reason to think it needed saving, but rather my cynicism at work. I do think he is unusually smart, just not sure that I trust his motives.

Rubin and Greenspan...according to Richard Hahn, it's called "The Changing of the Guard." It is quite likely Rubin will be the next Federal Reserve Chairman, and the timing may be sooner than anyone thinks. Paul O'Neill will be replaced soon also.
