>>> does Corning have enough clout to stifle the market?<<<

Supposedly CPQ was to stifle the market today, but CSCO saved it.

This would be my interpretation...If the market tanks all day tomorrow...Corning goes with it.

Yesterday CPQ pre-announces, it opens down today and rallies with the market.

If the rally continues tomorrow Corning goes up.

It has been commented on by the talking heads that the down open (of the last few trading days)followed by a rally as the day progresses is a sign that money is moving into the market. This is a new pattern..and I hope that it lasts.

One problem with Corning is that the Company president is brutally honest and he has a good track record with the street. Sometimes I wish he wasn't so honest, and fudged a little till I got some options filled.

I know...this ain't much to go on...but I'm not used to making all these on topic posts.

Regards, Jerome
