Reminds me of a story my professor told last night, about the Conquistadors and the chickens. The Conquistadors brought chickens with them when they conquered Mexico. The chicken was unknown in the New World. But chickens, which were good things, spread far faster than Conquistadors, which were bad things, so the Conquistadors were very surprised to discover that when they conquered new territory, there were chickens already there, scratching in the dirt. I have no idea whether the story is true or not, but I think it's cool.
