I feel a little sorry for the pacifists because they have absolutely no clue whatsoever as to what is going on here. How blissfully ignorant can you get? Even Russia, Cuba, and many of our other (former) "enemies" are with us on this issue. The fact that this doesn't tell these people something is amazing.

The comparisons to Hitler's rise to power have a lot of legitimacy IMHO. We best make our stand here and now. Just watched CSPAN hearings and now can't sleep. They showed 13 minutes of film clips from a 1995 special called "Jihad in America". Those terrorist leaders are some very deeply disturbed individuals. Listening to them speak reminded me of rabid dogs. Was even looking for foam at the mouths as they spouted their messages of hatred and racism. Several congresspeople recommended the clips not be shown because it "might send the wrong message". When pressed they admitted they hadn't seen the clips. A congressman spoke out and said ALL had been delivered the tapes weeks ago. ONE congressman said he saw it, twice, and thought it was highly appropriate to show it. He won the speaker's decision.

What some of our elected officials in Congress are trying to do now with the terrorist legislation is almost as disturbing. It's a fascinating story, but too long to go into here.
