Russ, gold will eventually skyrocket. The only question is whether our government will allow us to make money on it. Will we be demonized as "profiteering from the stresses of war"? Will the government nationalize all gold companies? The government has the power to prevent us from making the huge returns that are otherwise possible . . . . Something to consider.

U.S. Govt. can pressure individuals to sell gold. In a time of war, the U.S. government may bring severe coercion to bear on wealthy individuals to sell their gold. Examples include Saudi princes, the Sultan of Brunei, and wealthy Westerners. Maybe the rich Saudis are net sellers, not buyers.
