Yeah...I was thinking I was so lucky to get some really nice premiums...but thought it was going to be like so many times before an up day, followed by two down...had I known better I would have let the rally play out...but as Dan says, we don't have a crystal ball. Good luck, PoetTrader

<<Is anyone selling calls into this rally?>>

Yes. Today:

GLW Jan 10 at .65
SEBL Nov 20 at 2.40
JDSU Nov 7.5 at .75
QCOM Nov 50 at 2.25

Time (or a crystal ball) will tell. May buy some SEBL
puts for added insurance.

edit- CIEN Nov 15 at 1.10

"Is anyone selling calls into this rally?"

Not me, not yet. However, I am removing 25K of the 30K ballast money I put in 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, this will happen at the close, and with the market tanking the last 20 minutes, this doesn't look as smart as it did 2 hours ago. Oh well. Still, I may very well have picked up a years worth of interest in two weeks.

EDIT: also sold 2 NTAP calls I had picked up in the same time frame. Nice % return, but no money to speak of.

Is anyone selling calls into this rally?

I'm having a terribly difficult time not doing it. I would love to get back in. But I still worry that the Novs are after quarterly reports; the Octs are too low, at least for me, to make up for the risk; and it's still too early to see even slightly predictable trading ranges.

But, having said all that, and having not sold earlier in the week, I could change my mind on a dime (or a decent premium that looks fairly reasonable).
