wanna_bmw, I respect your opinions but you are way off base on this one. I remember seeing an Intel presentation before the Athlon was introduced. They were projecting the Athlon to top out at 666 Mhz and facing a 700 Mhz P3/ 1 Ghz P4 at the end of 2000. The Athlon is the reason there's 2 Ghz P4 out now. We'd be buying a 1Ghz P4 for $1000 right now otherwise.
