G, My former boss and friend sold a company and netted 15million. I was successful in the market in 99 and he got a bit jealuus. He is a real smart guy. He plunked the whole 15million in the market. He got out in april with a 4million dollar loss at 1650 which was then the bottom. He has traded since then without much success but netted out zero. After the attack he went short for the first time on monday of this week. He was going to make his money back as naz plunged further. You know the rest. Perhaps he became the last guy in on the bear side just as he was the last guy in on the bull side in early 2000. mike PS I had warned him yesterday morning about a possible nasdaq rally even if it turned out to be a bear market rally. Talked about amat then at 27 talking about 32-33 as a first target. I also mentioned to him about amats 5 point one day swings that happen at times like this. Last night right before the close he tried to cover but a last minute flurry of buying kept his limit orders from filling. He is the smartest man i ever met and he cant figure this game out.
