If we take 2 million jobs out of the economy in one year...

You do realize that the net job loss in the last two months averaged 111k. It would take a 50% higher net monthly job loss, every month for a year to shed 2 million jobs in a year. I don't know, right off hand, how many we've lost in earlier months this year, but I seriously doubt it was higher than the last two. Even if October is higher because of recent events, I can't see any basis for your suggestion we'll lose 2 million jobs. If we lose that many in one year, then I would agree we've got really big problems. I just doubt it will happen.

PS: Gotta like this market. Though I got hit hard after 9/17, I'm now 8% ahead of where I was at the close on 9/10. Panic never pays. :-)
