Pete, so a super-long pipeline is hard to balance. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Still think the P4's integer unit is nothing more than two pipelines running 180 degrees out-of-phase?

Tench, Pete seems to be raising some good points about why the Athlons architectural perf is better than P4's

Do you have any educated response to that? I am kind of surprised by some of the things he has uncovered.

Pete, Is it possible that the P4 dispatches 6 uops due to branches or loops?

I am going out on a limb here since my knowledge of architecture is very basic.

Let's get off this integer unit debate. I respect Pete's stance on this even if I do not agree with it.
