I think that Mossberg's point about aliases wasn't about free speech or any other liberty. He made the point more informally and expansively on TV. He's just saying that the Internet has grown up and that people on it should behave like grown-ups. If you encountered people in 3D who used aliases, you'd be very suspicious of them. Adults who use aliases in 3D are usually criminals. In real life, grown-ups are accountable for what we do and say. Getting away from aliases is part of the maturation process.

Karen
