RE: "What I think I do know is that, by June 2002..."

I think "hope" is a better word here than "know." The fiscal and monetary stimuli are great, but we are dealing with the aftermath of an unprecedented "bubble" and an unprecedented attack. I am betting on a successful recovery, but I don't think we can put a timetable on it or ignore the potential economic dislocations in the interim.

A key to successful investing in difficult times is to minimize any dependency on short term prognostication. The pressure now is so great, that one doesn't want to create the need to react to disappointment.
