Could be, due to the lag factor between layoff and applying for unemployment insurance. I think it'll be Fugly anyway, the FOMC minutes from the August meeting (8/21) confirmed that employment was softening in all regions of the country back then (and of course it's only gotten worse since).

The betting line is set at 5.0 percent, guess I'll have to take the "over" again...<G>
