But, to move our discussion along somewhat, let me try this out on you:

Given that your point is that Japanese-American citizens were deprived of their civil liberties for a period of time while we were fighting World War II ...

How do you feel about the fact that hundreds of thousands of young men (citizens) were drafted into the armed forces during the war? These men were forced to serve. Tens of thousands of them lost their lives, and many others were interned by captors who often chopped their heads off for the fun of it.

How do you feel about them being deprived of the most fundamental right of all, that of living?

I'm seriously interested in your point on view on this.

Edit: You might say that many of these boys were torn away from their mothers' bosoms by our government..
