Hi epsteinbd; Try this link, from Pravda:

RUSSIAN PLANE COULD BE SHOT DOWN ACCIDENTALLY DURING MILITARY EXERCISE
After ITAR-TASS informed (with reference to the world’s leading news agencies) that the plane Tu-154, which fell into the Black Sea was accidentally shot down during the missile exercise of the Ukrainian Air Forces, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reacted to that. The Defense department of Ukraine advised, it did not have the information saying the Ukrainian Air Forces were involved in the accident with the Russian plane.

We are contacting the Crimea and will check this information,” - spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said. Nevertheless, like ITAR-TASS was informed at the press-service of the Ukrainian navy, the Ukrainian battleships, pursuit planes were going to hit a target – an unmanned aircraft. It was scheduled to perform about 40 battle operations from different kind of weapons and also 20 shots.

Another catastrophe. In the wake of 6000 deaths it doesn't seem like much, but what a month.
