Authority yes ... the US should definitely exercise authority over Pakistan ... but they should not do anything that requires them to trust Pakistan in the war. They are a most unreliable ally and will eventually turn on you and open fire. Do you want to be the American soldier anywhere near Pakistan when that happens?

Now if we could train pigs to use weapons ... that would be something else!
