China's GDP for 2001 will be 7%. FOr years or decades, they have tried to maintain a minimum level of dependency on global/western economies.

SA, I hope you are right, but I don't see how China can remain unaffected by a weak US consumer. Take a walk through a toy store and try to find some items that aren't made in China...there aren't too many.
