Some background...
I've spent months on a submarine some years back sitting underwater in a tube off the Russian coast where the environment doesn’t change. I've planned my life out over 1000 different ways in my head while monitoring a nuclear reactor....and to my amazement hardly anything in my current life was predicted or conceived back them. One thing I do think I gained was this.
First imagine being in the same room everyday for 3 months. I would climb the rails / walls to view the same workspace from a different angle...and then I would at times view from the floor. Everytime I viewed my space from a different perspective I found something new I didn't previously know.

I don't expect AMD chips to get significantly more competitve until Hammer comes out. Athlon XP will help for a while, but apparently P4's will continue to grow in clock speed. Hammer is the main reason I am in the stock. You could probably pick up AMD at the same price as now in early December, but I expect a rise starting six months before Hammer.

I honestly expected a 100M loss this quarter. From the looks of it, the market did also.

I'd love to see a newspaper ad showing a Terex truck next to a Kia, captioned with the max RPMs produced by the respective engines, with an artful comparison to the Athlon and piv. Revs != power. AMD!
