You clearly made this up. There is no evidence to support that theory. Sure, memory bandwidths will need to increase over time, but who says it will happen before newer memory technologies arrive?

Also, memory bandwidths are increasing next year. RDRAM bandwidth will increase from 3.2GB/s to 4.2GB/s, and SDRAM bandwidth will increase from 1GB/s to 2.7GB/s by moving from PC133 to PC2700 DDR.
