I hope that you are correct. A weak market drawn out over a long period of time does no one any good.

Fortunately for me, we went to Cash and Bonds for the bulk of our investments early, mid last year. We kept longer term equity investments. Some stuff was purchased in the early 1980s. I'm in no hurry to re-allocate it (Cash, Bonds) back in to stocks though.

It's my children I have to manage equities for now, and so I look at equities for their benefit. For us I'm perfectly happy staying with a barbell approach, loading the weight more towards debt instruments rather than shares. Still in all it would be best for all concerned if the stock markets find their footing and recover.

Using AP for your thoughts or is it more an analysis based on events?
