MT, The telecom baby has been thrown out with the bathwater. Some good telecom equipment manufacturers have been priced for near bankruptcy, but there will surely be winners amongst them. I think the bottom has been reached in select telecom companies. News trickling in on some Telcos meeting expectations (e.g., Williams, Broadwing) will help maintain capital expenditures (albeit at a greatly lower level than anticipated a year ago). Last Fed cut just put real cost of money (interest rate less inflation) at near zero, which WILL spur new capital expenditures. I've just entered positions in two telecom equipment companies, Redback (RBAK) and Corvis (CORV) that were thrown out with the bathwater, but both of which will most likely survive and prosper because of their leading edge technologies. These are both potential 10 baggers.
