dabum, utilities, consumer staples and metals did not participate in the rally according to their bp. They are defensive sectors. Has the mood shifted away from defensiveness? Utilities aren't what they used to be with CA utilities in the tank and not paying dividends. MTP is no longer a utility. I once charted utilities vs interest rate and they were inversely related. But now rates are the lowest in many years but utes are not up. They are supposed to bottom when rates peak. Gottfried
