Combjelly, Re: "If AMD sold in excess of 7.7 million processors in Q3 like they claim, they gained share again."

Actually, 7.7 million processors is what they sold in Q2, and their goal is to meet that number. Intel claims that they will sell more than their Q2 volumes, which would be a gain in market share for Intel. That's my reasoning, but I suppose anything can happen.

"AMD said its volume of chip shipments has held up from record levels in the second
quarter, when the company sold 7.7 million microprocessors. AMD has gained share
in the market from Intel over the year, and some analysts expect its unit sales to rise
further in the third quarter."
