Personally, I'd love to see everyone who calls all Israelis and/or all Palestinians "terrorists" put into "time out" for a couple of days, and let the grown-ups keep talking.

believe me, I'm working on it...

I knew I'd rue the day I let this topic appear on this board...and I do.

I was not aware of the WAR board policy, we are quit near exactly that. I'll be evaluating the discussins today and over the weekend so, everyone make nice or this topic is outta here (or you the offender are...).

Agreed... I consider ANYONE, who specifically targets and kills non-combatant civilians, to be guilty of terroristic activities.

That goes for Palestinians, Jews, Americans, Russians... etc..

I do not consider those who attack military targets, such as soldiers, military vehicles.. etc. Even if such attacks result in inadvertant deaths amongst civilians, I would not consider it to be terrorism.

It's the deliberate targeting of civilians that has to stop.

Not that I hold much hope of that ever happening... I think we're getting awful close to a precipice that we'd rather not go over...

But I also don't believe we're talking about the end of the world either. There may quite a few muslims, but they aren't nearly as well armed as the US and Europe.

And I believe global "sympathy" for Arabs and muslims has reached a low ebb... (not personally being racist, but as an observation)... That suggests that Israel might be able to use this disconnect in public opinion towards Arabs to their advantage. Should that isolate the Arabs and result in the "jihad" that OBL desires, then we could see a war to control the oil reserves in the Persian gulf, and the overthrow of any regime that failed to maintain the flow of oil.

It wouldn't be "democratic", but war seldom is... and having the global economy held hostage to fundamentalists, who seize control over the oil reserves of Saudi Arabia is a absolute threat to our national security and that of Europe and Japan.

Hawk

But that's my personal definition

Actually, on the "WAR" thread, the pro-Israeli side has posted at least 20 posts on the topic since the ban.

That means that everyone who takes the position that Israel has no right to exist

Interesting. Got a link to someone on this thread who has taken this view?
