It will help you to understand what did occur. On the other hand if you are a "Clinton can do no wrong and Bush is evil incarnated poster" then truth doesn't matter and you shouldn't waste your time reading something that might shed some light on the situation, because those posters and their counterparts "Bush can do no wrong and Clinton is evil incarnate" don't want to learn anything that might cause them to rethink their opinions.
