Thanks for sharing some of your interests TP. The astronomy stuff that is going on today is absolutely mind blowing imo. I wish that our general population was a bit more interested in scientific discoveries, or any positive new that does not involve the carnage and termoil that the news orgs like to focus on. The ability to see something that happened 13.4 billion years ago is just absolutely amazing to me.

One of my favorite classes in college was an astronomy class I took as one of my science requirements. The stuff they do now is unbelievable, like I said. But I am also in awe of the early astronomists (and mathemeticians) that came up with ways to calculate distances to the stars and other such discoveries. I suppose all sciences are built on the work of others, but the guys who came up with the earliest discoveries did not have body of knowledge to build on. Totally fasinating imo.

Thanks for the links.
