Had not heard the rumor, and have no idea if GE would be interested in this business. GLW has gone down so much that it would be just a nibble for GE. I did a very quick calculation and if GE offered 1/3 of a share, which would be a premium of over 50%, it looks like it would only dilute GE's share base by 3%. So even if GLW was operating at breakeven, the dilution to GE would be minimal.
