Bill, Re: "So Since AMD gives a total CPU number and Intel is not, how can we interpolate the Intel numbers?"

If I wanted to make a guess based on Q2 numbers, I would look at total CPUs sold - 35M according to market research - and subtract the two. Then, I might assume that other competition like VIA, Transmeta, etc, have managed to sell 1M more. 35M - 7.7M - 1M = 26.3M CPUs from Intel, or about 75% of the market.

Just for fun, let's say Intel increased sales to 28.3M CPUs, and the rest of the market stays stagnant. That would put AMD MSS at 20.8% and Intel MSS at 76.5%. That sounded reasonable in my mind, and is my personal WAG.
