The problem in a nut shell is Sharon knows first hand that many of the Palestinians and the PLO and the PLF are terrorists just like OBL. They took on a more political face to try to prove to the world their great intentions but they are still terrorist's as far as I'm concerned. Remember the Achille Lauro? We've given millions...I don't know about what others have given, but to rebuild an area and culture that was devastated is/was going to take a lot of money. A lot of great things were beginning to happen with lots of ex pat palestinians returning from all over the world to help rebuild and invest and have new businesses. Things were looking good and now it's all gone. Including the timeless and traditional things like the ancient olive groves that have been systematically destroyed leaving people with NOTHING. The most important thing to almost all people there was to provide housing for new families of sons and daughters. By cutting everyone off from being able to work and bulldozing houses this has been wrecked and those MANY that really liked and supported the US have turned against us just in the past year. CC
