EDIT - here is the link to the Fox thing - man is this guy O'Reilly a lousy interviewer - he already knew what he wanted to hear and stuffed words into her mouth. foxnews.com Under the circumstances, 'slime' is out of line. I did not see the Fox report, but the Times kind of blasted him. It is true that he is not a nice guy - in business. However, when I saw him at a service in CT the guy was shaken - obviously. Incredible tragedy. And the people I knew at Cantor for the most part got along OK with him. But - there are questions about his fulfilling all the promises he has been making - he is already equivocating, the somewhat staged feel to his many TV appearances, his history of stealing Cantor from the founder's widow, the questionable tactics he used to get to the top, his dealings with regulators, etc. But that is the business and he is great at it. Which doesn't make him Mother Theresa - and he is pushing pretty hard for that designation. I just hope he takes care of all those families - he is loaded, so we will see whether he goes beyond just the minimum requirement.
