the problem with his theory is evident when you ask the question why banks are willing to throw dollars at individuals and companies that are not good risks?

Sorry it does come back to Alan Greenspan, IMO.

Also, AG not only cheerleaded for all the accounting flim-flam -- he strongly encouraged it. vr is just plain wrong.

to that i can only say, if not for the Fed accommodating the bubble with its rate targeting policy and frequent bail-outs, the financial sector wouldn't have had the wherewithal to let it grow to such an incredible size.

please remind me of this again on Monday, i have more to say but have to run now...
