Anthrax victim dies, and Morgan Stanley may move out of NYC.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MWD - news) is considering selling a new office building in New York's Times Square and moving some staff to the suburbs after the deadly Sept. 11 attacks forced it to review its Manhattan real estate portfolio, sources close to the matter said.

Its plans are beginning to take shape as New York's leaders worry about companies fleeing the city for surrounding towns. Other Wall Street firms have relocated workers outside Manhattan, but Morgan Stanley, though maintaining its headquarters in Manhattan, would be among the first to unload a big building there.

Morgan Stanley started mulling moving hundreds of workers after two hijacked jetliners destroyed the World Trade Center where Morgan had a massive amount of space.

The firm, which has other midtown offices, also might sell the new, unoccupied 33-floor tower to another top securitities firm based downtown, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (NYSE:LEH - news), a source said. The Wall Street Journal first reported the possible sale

Unfortunately the attempts to "Rock our world!" are likely to happen again. Would Israel even allow a separate state? Would that even calm things down? The hate carried down across generations may not go away easily and get passed down again for our children to deal with "If we make it that long".

Gold is looking stronger in these uncertain times. Watch the scramble when/if it hits $310 on it's way up. The C's, USIF, and DE look like they haven't moved much yet. DROOY, HGMCY, and GOLD all look strong. JMAR looks like accumulation may be occurring. <gg>
