Paul: Check out the chart for XLF (Spider Financials) and note the increasing volume here the past two days as the selling has intensified. Also note the low volume off the recent bottom as the price rose until the apex of the recent top had been reached and the selling commenced:

Paul and Don: BKX has three outside down pattern. This appears to be a high reliability pattern. It may be imperfect because the second day's body does not completely engulf the prior day's body (misses by less than I point I think) unless you count the bottom shadow in which case it does fully engulf. Third day was definite confirmation though:
