Peter Siracuse, 29, Corporate Bond Broker, Cantor Fitzgerald

New York, Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Peter A. Siracuse, 29,
corporate bond broker, Cantor Fitzgerald LP.

Siracuse, of New York, was known as one of the most
aggressive brokers in Cantor Fitzgerald's industrial corporate
bond department, the Newark Star-Ledger reported.

He developed in two years a client base that normally takes
seven to assemble. ``He was young and he was hungry,''
said Siracuse's supervisor. ``He was
definitely an up-and-coming star in the business.''

It was not unusual for Mr. Siracuse to start work at 7 a.m.
and finish meetings with clients at 11 p.m., others said. He
recalled that Siracuse used to point to a picture on his desk of
his son, now 8 months old.

``Everything I do I'm doing for the little guy,'' many recalled him saying.

Siracuse was born and raised in Bethpage, New York, the
youngest of six children. He was a leading scorer for the Bethpage
High School football team in the late 1980s and voted to the All
Nassau County lacrosse team in 1990. He played football for Nassau
Community College and Central Connecticut University before
graduating from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

After college he worked as a high school history teacher and
lacrosse coach but found it difficult to make ends meet, his
brother told the Star-Ledger.

``He was pretty aggressive, so it was a natural move for him
to go into the bond broker business,'' he said. ``It
is extremely competitive and that's what got Pete's juices
flowing.''

Siracuse is survived by his wife and his son; his
mother; two brothers, and two sisters.

A memorial service was held today in Manhattan.
