It is a "No-No", that does not mean that if you want to convert to Judaism, you cannot (like the Kuzars or Khazars did, not Khazaks, those tribes, I am not sure ever converted to monotheism (g), they were expert pogroms promulgators), but believe me, I have wo friends that converted to Judaism later in their live, purely due to philosophical r theological reasons, and the Rabbi, essentially passed both of those through fire, before he converted them. By the time the Rabbi was finished with them, those two guys (at different times) knew more about Judaism than I know. Forced conversion, or even "seductive conversion" is a very big "No-No", ask any Rabbi what ot will take to convert and you will see what I mean.
