My opinion, which really has no bearing, would be that that Arab countries -- which have 99.99% of the land in that region -- find a suitable place for the Palestinians, and give them a homeland. Why continue to want Israel's TINY portion and cause this trouble? Of course, I KNOW this will never happen, because this is an issue of the heart, not land. The Arabs don't hate Israel, per se, they HATE the GOD of Israel. So, the prophecies will be fulfilled, whether you and I debate it or not. But as alan points out, God made a "forever" covenant with Israel to protect them. And this struggle wil go on until it is finally settled at Armageddon.

As for the USA, I would say they should stand by Israel no matter what -- against world opinion if necessary. Mark it down -- it does not matter what you or I think. If you see Bush abandon Israel in order to "settle" the terrorist issue, you will see the fall of America just as surely as Rome fell.

I remain,
