What makes our Mariners win so sweet is that it was against the team that Arod (Alex Rodriguez to the rest of the world) deserted the Mariners for to make mega bucks. His team went nowhere, whereas if he has stayed with the Mariners he might have been on a record making team and on his way to the playoffs.

Ah, revenge is so sweet!

And if we can win the next two against the Rangers, we will have not only the AL record but the Major League record.

Which would make it even sweeter!!

And don't lose sight that Ichiro set the record for number of hits by a rookie. And we tied the records for several other things, such as number of players stealing 30 bases in one season (3, shared with 7 other teams) among them.

For a bunch of no-names that nobody though would do anything since they traded away Ken Griffey Junior and Arod, to the best record in AL history and maybe in Major League History.

Seattle is celebrating tonight, I can assure you!!
