Unlike the Palestinian Authority, the State of Israel is a parliamentary democracy. Sharon would not have been elected if the intifadah would not have been resumed. The Palestinians had in power a Left of center Israeli Prime Minister (Barak) who was willing to risk his government to give the limit of what Israel would accept. And they blew it. They blew it because they continue to support Arafat and the PLO, and refuse to renounce violence. If you choose to ignore that REALITY, you are intellectually dishonest.

Oh, as to "donating the entire region to the Jews." Perhaps you mean the British donating 2/3rd of Palestine to a Hashemite sheikh and making him King of (Trans)Jordan? Where is your indignation about that? Or Arab "brothers" keeping Palestinians in concentration camps for 30 years?
